1.0 OBJECTIVE : To set up a standardized general procedure to check and calibrate the air sampler.
2.0 SCOPE : This SOP is applicable for calibration and checking the status of the DUO SAS SUPER 360 air sampler.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1 Sr. Officer/ Officer shall be responsible for carrying out the procedure.
3.2 Overall responsibility for training, implementation & follow-up with the QC Manager or his nominee.

5.0 PRECAUTION
5.1 Take care that no miss measurement occurs due to turbulence of the air.
5.2 Protect the anemometer from any air current which could directly affect it.
6.0 PROCEDURE
6.1 Manual calibration with Pyramid flow checks system.
6.1.1 The “DUO SAS SUPER 360 Air sampler should be positioned in vertical position in a quite place in strong surface.
6.1.2 Insert a contact plate into the aspirating chamber of the air sampler and screw the aspirating head.
6.1.3 Switch on the DUO SAS SUPER 360 Air sampler and operate it as per the SOP No.:QC170.
6.1.4 Place the pyramid air flow check system on the top of the aspirating head of the air sampler.
6.1.5 Position the pyramid air flow check system by briefly pressing the switch button of the flow sensor.
6.1.6 The software version of flow sensor will appear on the LCD displays first, after which the instrument moves into the mode for measuring the current air flow (liters/min)
6.1.7 Record the flow sensor value in the Format No.:.FQC/358.
6.1.8 Calibration Frequency: one year ± 15 days.
