Objective : To set up a general guideline for the operation and cleaning of memmert Oven.
Scope : This SOP is applicable for the operation and cleaning of memmert Oven.
Responsibility:
=>> Operating personnel is responsible for carrying out the procedure.
=>> Overall responsibility for training, implementation & follow-up with the QC Manager or his nominee.
Precautions
=>> Wear gloves during off-loading of dried material.
=>> Ensure that the sampling equipments are properly wiped before placing in oven.
Procedure:
=>> Starting the Oven
=>> Clean the interior of the oven.
=>> Close the door and press the door locking knob.
=>> Put power switch On.
=>> Set the desired temperature by moving temperature control knob.
=>> The actual temperature will gradually increase up-to the set temperature within 20 minutes.
=>> Using of the Oven
=>> For drying the sampling equipment set temperature at 105°C by moving temperature control knob. When the desired temperature (105°C) is reached, open the door & place the sampling equipments as quickly as possible and close the door & press the door locking knob.
=>> At this temperature keep the sampling equipments in the oven for of 30 minutes.
=>> Put power switch off and offload all the dried sampling equipments after the time being elapsed.
=>> For drying glassware follow the same procedure setting the temperature at 60°C.
=>> Cleaning
=>> Clean the outside of the oven with dry duster.
=>> Clean the interior of the oven with wet duster followed by dry duster.
=>> Calibration
=>> Calibration procedure: The calibration shall be performed by the Supplier’s certified Engineer of the equipment. In that case the calibration and documentation should be performed as per their own protocol. After completion of calibration they provide a calibration certificate which shall be critically checked by responsible person and finally approved by QC manager.
=>> Calibration Frequency: One year ± 10 days
