SOP for Operation and cleaning of Cyclic Stability Chamber

1.0 OBJECTIVE : To set up a procedure for the operation and cleaning of Cyclic Temperature Stability Chamber-V (Instrument ID: QC/137).

2.0 SCOPE : This SOP is applicable for the operation and cleaning of Cyclic Temperature Stability Chamber-V (Instrument ID: QC/137).

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1 Operating personnel is responsible for carrying out the procedure.
3.2 Overall responsibility for training, implementation & follow-up with the QC Manager or his/ her nominee.

4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY
4.1 Head of Quality.

5.0 PRECAUTIONS:
5.1 Wear protective clothing (aprons) during unloading and loading of the sample.
5.2 Ensure cleanliness of the Cyclic Temperature Stability Chamber before closing the door.
5.3 Connect the water drain line with hose pipe.
5.4 Make sure that Contour software is installed with the P.C. and the P.C. is communicated with the Chamber by RS485 inverter.

6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1 Operation:
6.1.1 Start the Desktop P.C. with the User name and log in password.
6.1.2 Actuate the Main Circuit Breaker and Cabinet Isolator in ON position to start the Chamber.
6.1.3 After power up the LCD touch screen of the Chamber will display the Design Environment Company logo.
6.1.4 Press the DE logo to enter main temperature display page.
6.1.5 Check the Chamber temperature (ACT) on the Touch screen for the actual temperature of the chamber’s cycle.
6.1.6 Check the Set point temperature (SP) on the Touch screen for the set point temperature of the chamber’s cycle.
6.1.7 Press the Light Switch to operate the chamber interior light.
6.1.8 Press the Running Man symbol to start the chamber and press the Thumb symbol to stop the chamber.
6.1.9 Press the Alarm button on the desktop from the Maintenance screen to set the Temperature limits into the Controller.
6.1.10 Check the function of the High and Low alarm for the Temperature of the Chamber.
6.1.11 Press Contour software from the Program file.
6.1.12 On the “Connection” of the main display, write the Connect name and Password.
6.1.13 Press the “Play” button to enter into the Start up menu of the program.
6.1.14 Select the “Cycle” from the “Program list”.
6.1.15 Press the “Play” button to start the selected cycle.
6.1.16 Make sure that Cycle will automatically stop after the specified program.
6.1.17 Press “F4” to display the “Records” of the Saved cycle.
6.1.18 Press “Print” & “Export” for the Hard copy of the recorded cycle.
6.1.19 Press “F5” to generate & modify new program.
6.1.20 Press “F7” to access in the Log file.
6.1.21 Daily check the Cyclic Temperature Stability Chamber and in case there is any anomaly found in the Cyclic Temperature stability chamber (such as temperature settings), immediately call the factory engineer’s or supplier engineer’s to attend the stability chamber. After the problem is rectified within short period, document the anomaly situation and continue the cycle. But in case the cycle is stopped for a moment, restart the cycle with new sample.
6.2 General Cleaning:
6.2.1 Clean the Cyclic temperature chamber from outside every month.
6.3 Record the operation in the stability user log book (Annexure-I) (FRM No.: FQC/095-04)
