1.0 OBJECTIVE
To describe the procedure for handling of hand pallet trolley.
2.0 SCOPE
This procedure is applicable for handling of hand pallet trolley used in warehouse department.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1 Operator to follow the laid down procedure.
3.2 Warehouse officer shall be responsible for supervision and control.
3.3 Manager, Warehouse shall be responsible for effective implementation of procedure.
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY

5.0 PRECAUTIONS
5.1 Ensure that hand pallet trolley is in good condition before starting the operation. If any discrepancy found, operator shall report to warehouse officer and he shall inform engineering dept. through repair request (FRM No.:FEG/037) to solve the problem.
5.2 Ensure carrying weight not more than 2000 kg before handling of hand trolley. Never overload a trolley.
5.3 Make sure the route is clear of obstructions. Watch for water, oil, or other liquids on the floor. Never ride on the hand trolley.
5.4 During handling, push rather than pull the trolley.
5.5 Be aware of other people and forklifts in or near work area and park the hand pallet trolley out of traffic areas with lowered forks level.
6.0 PROCEDURES
6.1 Operation of hand pallet trolley
6.1.1 Push the lever located on the handlebars away from you. This will activate the hydraulic lift mechanism.
6.1.2 By using handle, push the pallet jack of hand pallet trolley under the pallet want to move.
6.1.3 Lift the pallet jack by pumping the handle up and down then lock the lever.
6.1.4 Using the handle, move the pallet and ensure wherever need to park the pallet have enough space to reverse the jack in order to put the pallet down.
6.1.5 Place the hand pallet trolley with transported pallet in desired position. Unlock the lever and press until lowest position of forks.
6.1.6 Finally bring the hand pallet trolley out from pallet and keep to its designated place.
6.2 Cleaning of hand pallet trolley
6.2.1 Clean the hand pallet trolley with a dry clean cloth.
6.2.2 Cleaning frequency – Before and after use.
