OBJECTIVE To provide a written procedure for using the overbags, leaflets and cartons (Outer and /or Inner) correctly.
SCOPE This SOP shall be applicable Packaging Area.

1. Jet-Printer Set-up for Printing of Overbag/Inner carton.
RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Sr. Production Officer/Production Officer shall be responsible for implementation of the procedure.
2. Manager, Production or his/her Designee shall be accountable for training and ensuring implementation of the procedure.
PROCEDURE
*** Use of Overbag
*** It shall be checked that the overbag is of the right size for the product and that the printed text is present on its body.
*** It shall be ensured that only printed labeled bottles are inserted into the overbags.
*** It shall also be ensured that the cap of the bottle goes first into the overbag.
*** Use of Leaflet and Carton
*** It shall be checked that the leaflets and / or inner cartons are for the same product.
*** One leaflet (where applicable) shall be placed into the overbag.
*** Then the bottles shall be transferred to the Conveyor belt CV04 for heat sealing.
*** In most cases bottles shall be inserted into the overbags and transferred to the CV04 for heat sealing without leaflet.
*** In case of inner carton, after heat sealing the overbag containing one bottle shall be placed into the inner carton with a leaflet.
*** Then the overbag / inner carton shall be printed by Jet-printer (SOP No. INFPP009).
*** It shall be ensured that the outer carton also contains printed label same as used for the bottle.
*** After Jet-printing, required no. of bottles (10 bottles for 500 and 1000 ml, 20 bottles for 250 ml, 30 bottles for 100 ml pack size) shall be placed into the outer carton having bottom liner with honey comb. In case of Inner carton packing, the required no. of inner cartons shall be placed into the outer carton having bottom liner without honey comb.
*** Outer carton shall be closed with adhesive tape after placing top liner on it.
*** The closed cartons shall be arranged on the Pallets in an orderly manner. Number of cartons in a pallet shall be as follows:
