OBJECTIVE: The Objective of this SOP is to describe the procedure for checking the Earthing continuity.
SCOPE: This SOP is describing the procedure for checking the Earthing continuity.
RESPONSIBILITY:
1 The Maintenance Engineer shall be:
1.1 Responsible for checking the Earthing continuity.
1.2 Responsible for the corrective action in case of any deviation
ACCOUNTABILITY: Head –Engineering Services
PROCEDURE:
1 Take a multi-meter and set the selector switch in `Continuity’ mode.
2 Take two testing cords and connect the one end of each cord with multi-meter.
3 Connect the other ends of each cord between the equipment and main Earthing strip/wire.
4 If display is showing zero on the millimeter and a audio is heard then earthing continuity Satisfactory.
