Corrosives: Chemicals that can destroy. Examples: Hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid etc.
Sensitizers: Chemicals that can damage tissue by making the body more sensitive to other toxins. Example: fragrance, color.
Hepatotoxins: Chemicals that can damage the liver. Examples: arsenic, lead, mercury.
Nephrotoxins: Chemicals that can damage the kidneys. Examples: lead, mercury.
Neurotoxins: Chemicals that can damage the brain or nervous system. Examples: mercury, lead.
