OBJECTIVE: To lay down a standard procedure for operation of Air Handling Unit.
SCOPE: This SOP covers complete smooth operation of Air Handling Unit.
RESPONSIBILITY: AC Technician, Officer and Executive.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Head – Engineering.

PROCEDURE
1.0 STARTING THE AHU
1.1 Ensure the chiller and chilled water pumps are started
1.2 Check the chilled water inlet and outlet valves are open.
1.3 Switch ON the main MCB of respective AHU in the MCC panel.
1.4 Press the Run switch in the respective AHU VFD panel and ensure the blower is switched ON
1.5 Switch “ ON “ the Heaters of the AHU( If applicable).
1.6 Ensure the smooth operation of the AHU and note down the Magnehelic guage readings of the EU 11 Hepa filter in daily log sheet ( If applicable)
2.0 STOPPING THE AHU
2.1 Switch OFF the heater from the main panel.
2.2 Press the Stop button in the AHU panel.
