Objective: To establish a standard operating procedure for Hot Water Boiler.
Scope: This procedure is applicable for the operation of Hot Water Boiler (Unical TZAR) of (Company Name).
Responsibility
1. Operator shall be responsible to follow the procedure strictly.
2. Supervisor shall be responsible to ensure that the SOP is followed properly.
Accountability: Head of Engineering.
Precautions
1. Ensure the power supply from the MSSB-1. Make sure that, before starting the Boiler power is available for both the Boiler and hot water circulating pumps.
2. Ensure that there is no gas leakage in the entire system.
3. Ensure that the pressure gauges and dial thermometers are showing correct values.
Procedure
6.1 During Starting:
6.1.1 Open the gas inlet valve.
6.1.2 Check the main gas inlet pressure.
6.1.3 Check the gas pressure after the regulator.
6.1.4 Select the manual mode of operation for hot water pump (HHWP-01 or HHWP-02) from the MSSB-1.
6.1.5 Switch ON the Heating hot water pump (HHWP-01 or HHWP-02) from the MSSB-1.
6.1.6 Select the manual mode of operation for Hot water Boiler from the MSSB-1.
6.1.7 Switch ON the Hot water Boiler by pressing the “Start” button from the MSSB-1.
6.1.8 During operation, check the suction and discharge pressure of the hot water circulating pumps.
6.1.9 Check the inlet and outlet temperature of water
6.1.10 Record the parameters mentioned in ANNEXURE – I at every 1 hour interval.
6.2 During Shutdown:
6.2.1 Switch OFF the Hot water Boiler by pressing the “Stop” button from the MSSB-1.
6.2.2 Close the gas inlet valve.
6.2.3 Switch OFF the Heating hot water pumps by pressing the “Stop” button from the MSSB-1.
