OBJECTIVE:
2.1 The Objective of this SOP is to describe the procedure for Noise level measurement.
SCOPE:
3.1 This SOP is to describe the procedure for Noise level measurement.
RESPONSIBILITY:
4.1 The Maintenance Engineer shall be:
4.1.1 Responsible for checking the noise level measurement.
4.1.2 Responsible for corrective action in case of deviation.

Head –Engineering Services
PROCEDURE:
6.1 Noise level measurement is to be done using a calibrated dB-Meter.
6.2 Switch `On’ the dB-Meter.
6.3 Hold the sensor of db meter at working height near equipment/system.
6.4 Check the noise level readings displayed on the meter.
6.5 Record the readings.
6.6 Switch `Off’ the dB-Meter.
6.7 Noise level should not be more then 85 dB.
