Purified Water: Purified Water does not contain any minerals or side chemicals. It is pure H₂O and contains only hydrogen and oxygen. Purified water is mechanically filtered to remove all impurities and make it usable. Distilled water is the most common type of purified water.
Purified water is often employed in preparation, drinking, scientific research and laboratories. Nowadays, water is often purified by processes such as capacitive deionization, carbon filtering, reverse osmosis, micro-filtration, ultra-filtration and ultraviolet oxidation.
Potable Water: Potable Water is water that is suitable for human and other animal consumption. It is also called drinking water. It is safe for making drinks and food without risk of health problems. Water that is contaminated is often treated to make it safe to drink.
One of the easiest ways to treat water is to heat it to a boil. Boiling water cannot remove heavy contaminants, but it can neutralize most bacteria and viruses that may be present.
